Our Mission: Leveraging Data to Reduce Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs)

Walsh Integrated Inc. develops advanced technology to help hospitals deliver safer, cleaner environments. With over 30 years of experience collaborating with healthcare institutions, we have identified a critical gap.

We all agree that cleaning reduces infections, but there is data that quantifies this relationship.

To address this, we are initiating a research project to rigorously explore the connection between environmental cleanliness and Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs).

We invite collaboration from interested partners.

Our Hypothesis

Our hypothesis is that there exists a statistically significant correlation between the cleanliness of patient rooms and the incidence of HAIs within those rooms. Through systematic data collection and analysis, we aim to deepen our understanding of how environmental cleaning practices influence infection rates. 

Walsh Integrated’s proprietary technology captures detailed cleanliness data at the item-specific and room-specific levels. By integrating detailed HAI data into this dataset, we will use the latest AI tools to analyze these relationships and uncover the relationships.

A primary goal of this research is to create new technology to enable hospitals to identify conditions associated with elevated HAI risk proactively. This will empower facilities to implement targeted interventions that reduce patient vulnerability and improve overall safety outcomes.
